Legendary video game publisher Atari is releasing an NFT collection to celebrate its 50th anniversary. The unique NFT collection is a collaboration with famous artist Butcher Billy, who has worked on Stranger Things, Marvel and more. In total, there are 2600 NFTs based on fifteen original works by the artist in the Atari X collection.

Additionally, Atari is announcing a 1-888 interactive hotline and Metavas experience, available to everyone, whether they own Atari NFT or not.
The ’50 Years of Atari’ NFT Collection
The NFT collection is the latest move by the company as it continues to build the blockchain ecosystem in Atari Web 3. In June, the company announced plans for an interactive museum experience game to celebrate 50 incredible years in the gaming industry.
The new Atari NFT collection will launch in September and will include 2600 NFTs. There will be an official whitelist for securing NFT, and more information will be coming soon. In addition, Atari previously released an NFT collection in 2021 and has created a loot box NFT collection this year.
Section 133
Until the NFT collection is verified, there is a ‘section 133’, accessible through 888atari50.com. This amazing MetaVas experience looks like an engineering suite out of Atara’s original headquarters in Sunnyvale, California.
Room 133 offers a fully immersive and explorable virtual environment that offers perks and unique experiences. Here, users can find hints and easter eggs about the upcoming project and future Atari collaborations. The website has a toll-free interactive hotline, 1-888-ATARI50. You can find out how to navigate through Section 133 by calling this number.
Section 133 also secures industrial partnerships for Atari in the Web 3 world. The image on the website lists several companies as partners. This list includes Animoca Brands, Nifty Labs, The Sandbox, Unstoppable Domains, RTFKT and more.
