
Bitcoin mining company Cleanspark announced on Wednesday that the company has signed a purchase agreement for 10,000 new Bitmain Antminer S19j Pro mining rigs for $28 million. Cleanspark expects the machines to be delivered to the company’s facilities in late October or early November 2022.
Cleanspark Inks Deals With Cryptech Solutions – Buys 10,000 New Antminers
Bitcoin miner Cleanspark (Nasdaq: CLSK ) has announced an agreement with Cryptech Solutions to acquire 10,000 Bitmain Antminer S19j Pro bitcoin miners. The news is that Cleanspark has more than 3 Exahashes per second (EH/s) and daily maximum production rate is 13.25 BTC. At the time, Cleanspark CEO Matt Schultz said the company was prepared for winter.
In a press release sent to Bitcoin.com news, Cleanspark said 10,000 new Bitmain-branded bitcoin miners should arrive at the company’s mining campuses within two months. The publicly listed bitcoin mining operation acquired the new mining equipment for “$28 million after credits and rebates.” Cleanspark CEO Zach Bradford said the company has been looking to build out the company’s mining infrastructure.
“During the tail end of the bull market last year, we were more focused on building infrastructure than following industry trends months before,” Bradford said. The CEO added, “This strategy enables us to purchase onshore assets at significantly lower prices, thereby reducing the time between deploying capital and hashing, accelerating our return on investment.
At press time, the Bitcoin hashrate is reaching 227.99 exahash per second (EH/s) or 227,990,154,305,221,200,000 hashes per second (H/s). Cleanspark details that it has more than 37,000 Bitcoin mining machines and is currently about 3,800,000,000,000,000,000 H/s or 3.8 EH/s. The company represents 1.66% of the global hash power at a rate of 3.8 EH/s and Cleanspark announced that it recorded a peak production of 14.9 bitcoins per day.
