Putting together a NFT collection based on a selection of photos of famous 70’s musicians and the photographers who took them. Music and photography fans can expect to find rare snapshots of rock icons such as Jimi Hendrix, John Lennon, Elvis Presley, James Brown and many more.
Getty Images has an extensive catalog of stock photos, and that’s what makes Candy Digital so appealing. NFT Organization Since its launch in late 2021, it has focused on sports collections, but is now expanding its reach into music photography.
Candy Digital presents a collection of photos from the Mint in its open edition, scheduled for March 21. It was originally announced last May as the result of a partnership between Getty and Candy.

Candy Digital wants to explore new avenues
According to the CEO of Candy, Scott Lawn, in 2015, We’re excited because we’re talking to a different kind of audience. The way we think about our partnership, it’s creating opportunities for people to not only dive deeper into the categories they love, but to discover and gather across different content types and IPs.
Lawn went on to explain that this is a long-term partnership that Candy Digital is looking to build over time. His organization is eager to explore the millions of photos in the Getty archives, some dating back decades and covering a variety of subjects.
Rather than being organized by musical talents like Jimi Hendrix or the Rolling Stones, this collection features the work of six photographers, including David Redfern and Finn Costello. Also, these limited edition collectibles sell for between $25 and $200, with shortages in the waiting period to land a desired piece.
