Welcome to CryptoArt Sunday! I am very excited to show you the work Marcel Karam this week. I stumbled upon his work on MakersPlace, and immediately knew I had to interview this talented artist!
Marcel is a real artist based in Brazil and working exclusively with digital media. His artworks are inspired by the great masters of surrealism such as René Magritte, de Chirico and Dali.
So let’s get to it and learn more about the NFT journey and feast our eyes on the magic!
How did you find out about the NFT space, and what drew you to create your own NFTs?
I found out about the NFT space after reading a report about the sale of Beeple NFT at an auction. As I have been doing digital art for a long time, I realized that it is a great opportunity to sell my works.
How often do you create?
daily. full hour.
What is your creative process?
My creative process is different. Sometimes I create completely digital art without using images.
Sometimes I do image manipulation and use shadow and light techniques to create the final artistic environment.
I always make several attempts until I get the final result.
Are there any CryptoArtists you would like to collaborate with?
Yes. There are good artists in this universe. I will mention only a few. Andreas Lilja, Reinhard Schmid, Gala Mirissa.
What do you think the future of CryptoArt looks like?
I see a promising future. A new place where artists from all over the world can trade their art directly with collectors without intermediaries.
What are you working on now?
I am a full time artist. I am creating new arts.
