TOKYO (Reuters) – Japanese companies increased spending on plant and equipment by 9.8% in July-September from the same period a year ago, Finance Ministry data showed on Thursday.
The data follows revised gross domestic product figures on December 8 and estimates that Japan’s economy shrank at a 1.2% annual clip in the third quarter.
