Nicola’s chief executive told a jury he was concerned about the ‘exaggeration’ of pitches to investors by founder Trevor Milton.

Nicola Corp. CEO Mark Russell told a New York federal judge on Monday that he was concerned about joining the electric-truck company because he believed Trevor Milton, who runs the electric-truck company, was “prone to exaggerating his public statements.”

He and Milton Nicola agreed that Russell would become CEO if the company became a publicly traded company. Russell said he wanted the event because, as the head of a public company, the statement from the CEO must be accurate.
