Reddit made news earlier this year when it started offering both free NFTs to its end users and a collection of them for sale. This marks the platform’s first foray into the NFT space and has been generally well received.
Now, the NFTs are making news again as two of them have been resold for their styles. $5,000 each.
The two NFTs sold at this price are from the Sens collection. This collection is designed by Reddit User Rojom as part of the Collective Avatar Creator program.
NFTs from that collection, The Hands #16 and The Hands #46; They sell for 4 ETH each on OpenSea, where the collection is very popular. When Reddit first introduced the collectibles (the site seems to have deliberately taken the step of not calling them NFTs), there was debate in the community about their merits and whether to embrace them.
But now months later, NFTs have become very popular, especially in the resale market. They all feature Snoo, the Reddit mascot, in different costumes, themes and situations, and bring their owners a lot of money.
