Renault Inks to Bring Automotive Experiences to the Metaverse with Sandbox – Bitcoin News

The Korean subsidiary of Renault, a historic brand in the automotive industry, is partnering with The Sandbox, an Ethereum-based metaverse platform, to enter the metaverse space. With this partnership, Renault Korea’s aim is to establish the brand’s presence in the Metaverse and provide customers with Renault-based virtual automotive experiences.

Renault to enter the Metaverse through Sandbox

Renault, one of the largest automotive companies in the world, has signed a partnership with The Sandbox to enter the virtual world of the Metaverse. The company’s Korean subsidiary will be responsible for establishing the brand’s presence on-site through a series of automotive-related activities to introduce virtual customers to the company’s products.

These automotive experiences will enrich the Sandbox platform and allow Renault to reach a wider audience, expanding the customer base of their products. About the partnership, Sandbox Korea CEO Cindy Lee said:

This partnership is a great example of collaboration. The sandbox can be developed without any industrial boundaries. We can introduce new types of experiences that combine cars and digital assets in Sandbox.

The extent of the collaboration and the nature of the experiences it will involve were not disclosed at the time. Reno has now joined the ranks of companies and individuals in the Ethereum-based metaverse platform.

Automotive Brands and Metaverse

Renault isn’t the first automaker to aim to put products in the Metaverse. In fact, Metavas has become a popular destination for these companies. In April, Volkswagen developed an ad campaign called “Game On,” in which users had to hunt for NFTs in a dynamic environment.

Nissan, a Japanese automaker, used the Metaverse to launch one of its latest electric cars, the Sakura. The company has developed a virtual world where customers can drive the car by exploring its features and shapes. According to Nissan, this experience provided an “unprecedented opportunity to connect with new audiences.” The company also said, “I’m excited about what’s to come and will continue to develop new digital approaches to our products.”

Hyundai is offering futuristic mobility experiences in a virtual motoring studio in the Metaverse world called Zepetto, run by Naver Z.
