How is Saudi Arabia celebrating its National Day in the Metaverse?

September 22 is the first day of Saudi Arabia’s 92nd National Day. This year, however, citizens can enjoy the event – right in the heart of Decentraland.

Saudi-based advertising agency Bold Group carefully planned the event with the King Abdulaziz Foundation for Research and Archives (DARA). The result? The perfect combination of culture, history and entertainment.

Event participants can explore an open-air museum that showcases the traditional beauty of Saudi Arabia. Collectors can also purchase wearable NFTs inspired by Saudi national dress.

Accordingly, The Bold Group offers limited edition POAP collectors. These NFTs will serve as proof of attendance at the first Saudi Arabian National Day Web3 celebration.

“We are proud to integrate our past with our future, honoring the Kingdom’s history, preserving our heritage and enabling people to participate in the new digital realm. says Aber Alessa, founder of Bowld Group.

Are Saudi Arabian citizens more into NFTs?

Earlier this summer, the NFT collection called “Saudis” made waves among collectors. Models with 5,555 pixels recorded OpenSea’s highest sales volume 24 hours after launch.

His popularity may be due to NFT’s Twitter personality Farroq, as the collector bought several collections at once. However, Saudi Arabia is clearly open to innovation and this includes the NFT sector.

“The idea is to bring the historical cultural celebration of the Saudi National Day into the new age of technology.” Ziad Aburiaili, Creative Tech Director of Bold Experience Unit, said: “The challenge was to gather people from 13 different regions of the kingdom to celebrate Saudi Arabia in one virtual space.”
