Well, that’s one way to get the word out. Over the past few years, all kinds of companies have been using NFTs for promotions. But one of the most interesting ones we’ve seen so far is from Sampuy Joe, a San Diego-based car wash chain.
The company has been running NFT-based campaign Starting July 2022, rewarding customers for repeat patronage.
How this campaign works: Customers will receive NFT every time they visit one of the 17 chains. This is done through an email link sent to customers after visiting one of the sites. As you collect more NFTs, you’ll earn all kinds of rewards, from keychains to free tickets to an amusement park.
While loyalty programs for various brands and the rewards that come with them are not new; Soap Joe For them, using Ethereum-based NFTs is an innovative concept. And he’s obviously very popular.
According to the chain’s management, more than 10,000 NFT were mined after the campaign went live on 2,000 wallets. It also showed a 10 percent increase in annual membership.
“In terms of people going to different websites, we’re seeing numbers we’ve never seen in our 11-year history. They are blowing out of the water.” said Ann Moeller, vice president of marketing at Sampi Joe, in a statement to CoinDesk.
