One of the main tenets of the Web3 game is the idea of decentralization–specifically, decentralized property ownership. But the teams at Unix game & Delicium They believe developers have been limiting themselves by limiting decentralization to assets.

Instead, the team at Delicium recently announced that their game will be published on what they call a multi-operator license. Decentralized game publishing. Unix Gaming will be their first multi-vendor operator.
Why don’t they just publish it themselves?
While the team at Delicium is more than capable of publishing their game, they believe this new approach will allow them to develop beyond their wildest dreams. The example they give is Rockstar’s Grand Theft Auto V. While no one can argue that GTA V wasn’t truly an incredible success, even Rockstar couldn’t have predicted how much it would change once it got into the hands of gamers.
If you’re not familiar with GTA RP or GTA Roleplay, it’s what happens when players take to the streets of GTA Online, play and act out their assigned roles – be it an off-the-book police officer, an innocent store clerk, or an East Side mob boss. Roleplay takes the idea of online Second Life to a whole new level, and if Rockstar had managed the rigors of the gaming experience, it never would have happened.
To unlock the true potential of the worlds they’ve painstakingly built, the Delicium team has handed over the keys to the castle to operators to put their unique spin on the experience–perhaps taking it in creative and exciting new directions. And, as a Web3 title, operators can use their tokens as the currency of the game world, adding more utility to their tokens.
When it came to choosing the first multi-version operator, the choice was clear.

Unix Gaming has gone from strength to strength, starting as one of the biggest game-to-own companies after hitting $30M in revenue by 2021 and now serving as the main partner for many of the industry’s best web3 titles, including Delicium. And as part of its partnership with Delicium, Unix Gaming will collaborate on the development of multiple game modes and gaming experiences in the first iteration of Delicium.

Both Delysium and Unix Gaming have promised new updates soon. With their newfound collaboration, they’ve also recently launched. Limited edition NFT skins Giving access to the first version of the game.
The team at Unix Gaming describes it as decentralized playtesting, as players who purchase these skins provide important information to verify the game and allow players to earn more than what they originally paid for the skin.
