(Reuters) – United Parcel Service (NYSE: ) said on Wednesday that it will hire more than 100,000 holiday workers in 2022, compared to last year, to deal with an increase in packages.

The logistics company said its job openings are mainly for full-time and part-time drivers and package handlers.

Both UPS and rival FedEx Corp (NYSE: ) hire thousands of temporary workers between October and January to move more packages. Although the supply of workers seems to be slowly improving this year, they face a headache in the labor market.

Both companies have benefited from the surge in online shopping during the Covid-19 pandemic. Even though overall e-commerce demand is down from its highs, you’ll find the packages that bring in the most money are prioritized.
